Kingdom Afterschool Programs (KEAP) will open on Monday September 11, 2017 at all schools.  All programs offer hands - on project based learning activities for CNSU K - 8th grade students.  The programs are supported by a 21st Century Community Learning Center grant awarded by the VT Agency of Education as well as Title I funds, local school budget appropriations, and parent fees.
  • Programs are located in CNSU schools and are free or low cost to families. All programs provide a wide range of programs through five sessions per year.
  • Programs are lead by school day teachers/staff and "expert" quest instructors form the community.  Strong partnerships with community organizations help support a wide range of program activities.
  • Daily schedule includes homework help, enrichment activities (see Kingdom Afterschool calendars on CNSU school websites for session information), physical activity, and a healthy snack.
  • Programs at Burke, Lyndon, Miller's Run, Newark, and Sutton schools offer a free USDA Expanded Snack which includes five food groups.
  • Tutoring is provided by teachers for students who are referred by their classroom teacher.
